The Baker Behind Craft & Crumb
Hi, I'm Morrigan (aka Megan)
My journey into gluten-free baking began unexpectedly. At 25 years old, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The inflammation and joint pain became so severe that everyday activities — getting dressed, driving, and even climbing stairs — were often difficult to do on my own. I was told that medication would likely be a lifelong necessity.
While searching for ways to support my health, I came across stories from others who had experienced improvements after eliminating gluten from their diets. After doing my own research, I decided to give it a try.
Within just two weeks of going gluten-free, I experienced a dramatic reduction in my joint pain and inflammation. I also noticed clearer skin, increased energy, and fewer migraines. More than nine years later, I continue to enjoy the benefits of a gluten-free lifestyle, and the improvement has been so remarkable that even my rheumatologist was amazed by the results.
My experience sparked a passion for gluten-free baking and a belief that dietary restrictions shouldn't mean giving up foods you love. I became determined to create treats that don't feel like a compromise — foods that are just as delicious, comforting, and crave-worthy as their traditional counterparts.
Today, every item at Craft & Crumb is made with care, creativity, and the hope that it brings a little comfort and joy to your table.
